Round Table of Investment-Cultural Clubs (ICCs) Presidents from Young Countries
Fermata Arts Foundation is forming participants for developing collaborative work in the following areas:
- “Ecological Architecture, Bioclimatic, Green Roofs, Alternative Energy Technologies”
- “Ecological Landscape Architecture, Ecological Environment”
- “Biomimetic Architectural Design, Bionic Constructive Design”
- “Sacred Architecture & Sacred Art, Semantics of Architecture, Iconography of Sacred Architecture”
The
first review meeting will be held on January 10, 2013 in Kharkov
National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (KNUCEA),
Kharkiv, Ukraine.
Fermata
is proposing to the Initiative groups in the universities
(Departments of Ecology, Schools of Architecture) to prepare
information for a round table discussion about abandoned
industrial and commercial buildings in their countries and their
effect on the environment.

- type of usage in the past (type of product produced, application, etc.),
- time in service (from … to …),
- abandoned since …,
- other
Stage I. Student project (during one semester)
- how the abandoned site was found
- who was contacted
- condition description, sketches, photographs (no more than 100 pages)
Stage II. Round table discussion
- developing recommendations with a proposal for inclusion to the strategic plan of the town, city, region, country

recommendations include materials for:
- conservation
- revitalization
- preservation
- disposal
- these recommendations will be proposed to the developers of the industrial complexes, plant, etc. for justification of the life cycle of the industrial buildings

Goal:
Developing the attractiveness of this understanding of ecology in the aspect of paradigm stages of human activity, at the stage of economic globalization, introduces new insights both into the foundations of what is already created and experienced and reflected through the cultural life of the country, and in creating new visions of the world. Reflecting the interests of one’s own field of activity in the projects of the Investment and Cultural Club (ICC), taking into account what we currently know about the environment, this is a new direction the ICC members, and a strong innovative feature.
